Studio co-founder and the art director working on Mother Russia Bleeds, Alexandre Muttoni, described to us his studio's brutal beat-em up during our chat in the parking lot outside E3.

One of the things discussed included the on-screen carnage that unfolds when players partake in co-op with the friendly fire switched on:

"When you play it single, it's really clean. You can make a little strategy, and make your own space in the battle. When you play four players it's totally another experience, it's really a big mess and chaotic, but really fun. It's really different feelings. Of course you can turn off the friendly fire, it's obvious."

During the interview we also asked about the game's unique art style and the various inspirations that informed it, as well as discovered that the game is due to hit PC, Mac, and Linux around April of next year, with the game also planned for release on PS4.

Muttoni then revealed that because a number of fans requested that the game be ported over to PS Vita, the studio are going to talk to their publisher, Devolver Digital, about the possibility of bringing the game to Sony's handheld.
