New information about Dragon Quest XI has surfaced after Yuji Horii, series creator, shared some details during an interview with FFring.com. Despite not sharing concrete features about the game, Yuji Horii confirmed it will be an offline game and will return to the roots of the franchise:
"Dragon Quest XI will be a return to a more traditional Dragon Quest [classic turn-based RPG]. If we do another action RPG, it will enter the Dragon Quest Heroes series. We would like to differentiate these two types of games."
Yuji Horii also confirmed the game will be developed to "home consoles," after being questioned about Dragon Quest ports to mobile devices.
