Batgirl: A Matter of Family, the first expansion for last month's Batman: Arkham Knight, has been given a price and a release date.

Developed by Arkham Origins creators Warner Bros. Montreal, the Batgirl content is heading first to season pass holders on July 14, while everybody else will have to wait until July 21.

For those who've already invested in the season pass, this content is already paid for, meanwhile the rest of you will have to stump up £5.79 for some new missions and side quests based in a new location that tell the story of Barbara Gordon's alter ego, Batgirl.

Batman: Arkham Knight has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons - this despite getting rave reviews - after it was reported that Warner Bros. knowingly shipped a bug-riddled PC port of the game (more on that here).

REVIEW. Written by Ricardo C. Esteves

"The plot is virtually nonexistent, activities are repetitive and everything ends in an hour (two if you want to search for the extras)."
