Nintendo may be preparing to start the manufacturing process on its next home console - currently codenamed Project NX - sooner then many have anticipated. According to a Taiwanese news site Digitimes Nintendo has already mobilized its supply chain partners to start production this October. The site reports that the console will primarily be worked by Foxconn Electronics while other manufacturers are like Pegatron Technology are also pursuing some of the orders.

There has not been any official statement on the matter from either Nintendo no the other companies involved. Previously Nintendo has only told the public that the new home console will be revealed sometimes next year. However according to Digitimes' sources the mass production is planned to begin as early as February or March 2016. The same report states that the Japanese gaming giant is aiming to ship 20 million Nintendo NXs in the first year. That sounds extremely high considering that Wii U is only expected to ship only 2 million this year.
