Uncharted 4's frame rate has been under a bit of a debate. Now the developers have confirmed that the single player portion will run at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. Co-lead designers Anthony Newman and Kurt Margenau confirmed to Gamespot, that the campaign is designed to run at 30 fps. This decision was made to keep the experience as smooth and consistent as possible.

"To me, a locked 30fps is way better than a variable 60fps", said Margenau.

The duo explained that in order to hit consistent 60fps, they would have to do a lot of optimisation in the game's environments. This in turn would lead to longer development times for each level and could even effect the story itself.

The multiplayer portion of the game is however a different story, with the team aiming to deliver it ay 60fps.
