Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North has touched on some of the changes for Uncharted 4 as the result of the creative reshuffle that happened last year, with North saying that "eight months" of story shoots were thrown away.
The subject arose eighten minutes into one of the actor's lengthy panels at Metrocon.
"We had shot 8 months of [Amy's] story and it was all thrown away. The Last of Us guys came in, and you have to understand, new producers, new people, they want to do it. I don't know what happened exactly," North replied when asked if the script changed after writer/director Amy Hennig's departure.
North explained the new team, headed by The Last of Us creative duo Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, "wanted their own flavour. They got rid of some of the other people that were involved and just redid their thing".
"I think is gonna be slightly different," he continued, discussing the different writing styles, using Robert Ludlum and Steven King as by way of comparison, but emphasised that the new version was still "going to be along the same lines with the story".
