Harmonix's Rock Band 4 is getting closer to its proposed release in October of this year, and as such we're getting more and more information about what to expect went it finally arrives.

During a recent talk with IGN the developers were explaining what the campaign will look like, and surprisingly it is said to be resembling something akin to an RPG.

Assuming the role of an aspiring musician, you'll have to travel and get gigs, make fans, and earn money. The cash you make can be spent on clothes or, perhaps more importantly, you can invest in new instruments.

You'll also get scored on your stage presence, and the better the score is the more fans you'll attract. Fans are important since they open up more opportunities if you can manage to build a decent base within a specific geographical area.

With E3 just around the corner, expect to hear more about this interesting new game mode.

REVIEW. Written by Philip Lauritz Poulsen

"It's enjoyable solo, however, the game is by far at its most entertaining with other people involved, so the lack of online multiplayer is baffling."
