Need for Speed runs on same version of engine as Battlefront

A modified version of Frostbite.

The new Need for Speed game, simply titled "Need for Speed", was officially unveiled a few days ago, with a short teaser trailer and some screenshots.

Not a lot was actually revealed about the game itself, but now, we at least know an important technical aspect of the upcoming streetracer - it's graphics engine.

According to a tweet by Frostbite Technical Director Johan Andersson, the game runs on the same modified version of the Frostbite engine as the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront.

Expect to see more from Need for Speed at EA's E3 press conference on June 15.
