We sat down for a chat with Swing Swing Submarine's Guillaume Martin to learn more about the beautiful puzzle-platformer Seasons After Fall.

"The concept for Seasons After Fall is playing a wild fox in nature and be able to control the seasons, so change the seasons at will," says Martin. "We tried to have this gorgeous look and just the fact that you can change the seasons is fun for the eyes, because you really want to change it to see what is the difference between the seasons, but we use it for the gameplay too..."

"We wanted to have a wild animal, but that looks familiar too," explains Martin of the choice of a fox as the main character. "So I guess plenty of us know of fox in real life and it reminds you of the countryside. My childhood was spent in the countryside in a small town. And it reminds me of those days where I saw some foxes around and in terms of gameplay the fox is useful because he's orange. It's a colour that you don't find much in real nature, so you can see that 'yeah, I'm the orange guy'. I'm highlighted."

Seasons After Fall is heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One early next year.
