Over three million downloads for free-to-play Dead or Alive

As you likely already know, there's a free-to-play version of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. From the look of it, this was a stroke of genius from Koei Tecmo as they have now announced that it has been downloaded more than three million times. By way of comparison, the game has sold 330,000 across PC, PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Compared to the regular version the free-to-play offering only has four characters. These are Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi and Ryu Hayabusa. If you want more than that - you're gonna have to buy them.
