Yesterday Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was officially unveiled by Activision and the more aware fans of the series have noticed an interesting Easter Egg on the official box-art of the game, that it will make veteran fans very happy.
First of all, the most of you have surely noticed that the posture of the protagonist on the cover looks like very familiar to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, but this isn't the only cool thing. As you can see in the images below:
It seems "Sally" - the original Colt M1911 twin-gun that was paired with "Mustang" - will likely make a return in the new game. As you probably remember, the name "Mustang and Sally" is an homage to the 1965 song "Mustang Sally" by Mack Rice and you could obtain it upgrading the Colt M1911 via the Pack-a-Punch Machine in the first Black Ops. Maybe "Mustang and Sally" won't be a Colt M1911, as the game is set in a dystopian future, but surely this is the sort of fan service that will be appreciated nevertheless.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will land on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 6th. You can read our first impressions on the game right here.
Thanks, DualShockers.
