Bioware have announced the release of the carnage unleashing Arc Projector for Commander Sherpherd on Mass Effect 2. The weapon will be freely available to all Cerebus Network members.
The weapon is classed as a heavy weapon and is reminiscent of the lightning gun from Quake. It works by ionizing targets with an invisible lazer as a precursor to a large electrical attack. The electrical shock can affect multiple enemies within a given radius, provided the attack is precise and conditions are favorable.
Based on the screens below, it's safe to assume close proximity to Shepherd should come with a health warming unless of course you're a tad partial to smelling like an over cooked sausage.
