The size of The Witcher 3's world revealed

CD Projekt Red has revealed how large The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt world is with the first images of the game's map. As you can see in the pictures below, the world of The Witcher 3 is divided into two different areas.

As you can see there's a smaller Prologue map and a significantly larger Northern Realm (that's actually shown over two separate screens). There is also an archipelago destination that the player can visit only by boat (getting there will be one of the few times that we'll be treated to a loading screen).

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will land on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 19. The game will be launched globally at 1AM CET / midnight BST, so everyone in the world can start playing the game at exactly the same time.
