Sony wanted to make Pokémon and Smash Bros. movies

As previously reported, leaked emails from Sony have revealed that they wanted to do an animated film starring Nintendo's talisman, Mario. Now Wikileaks has added another bunch of leaked emails online, and these show that this wasn't the only Nintendo brand that Sony wanted make a move about.

Sony was also in contact with Nintendo with the express aim of producing a Super Smash Bros. movie along with a Pokémon offering. Presumably it didn't work out, but it would have been interesting to see the two competitors working hand-in-hand on some animated movies.
