Recommended specs for PC GTAV confirmed

Rockstar has confirmed when the long-awaited PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will go live, with UK-based gamers set to get the game on April 14 at 12am BST (that's 1am CET, or on April 13 at 7pm ET or 4pm PT if you live in North America).

Speaking with PC Gamer last week, Rockstar also confirmed the hardware you'll need to get the best out of the game on PC: "To run the game on a 4K display at 30fps, you'll need at minimum an AMD HD 7870 or Nvidia GTX 760 with 2GB of VRAM."

However, to run at 4K/60fps you'll probably want a "high-end SLI or Crossfire setup." For those among you with a more modest gaming rig, you can also see the recommended and minimum PC specs below:

OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1, Windows Vista 64 Bit Service Pack 2 (NVIDIA video card recommended if running Vista OS)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
