Two weeks ago Obsidian Entertainment released the old school RPG Pillars of Eternity. In a recent interview with PC Gamer, CEO Feargus Urquhart talked about the future plans and revealed, that a card game and a tabletop RPG are in works. Like Pillars of Eternity itself, the card game gets a Kickstarter, but it will be done by another company and designed by Chris Taylor, former lead designer of Fallout.

"This isn't like a CCG or anything like that, but it's more just a fun, kind of, four people get around and play a single session card game. You have heroes, and you have a village, and all that kind of stuff, and you can take your heroes into a dungeon, and you can also take your heroes and armies and attack your friends while they're playing, so it's kind a very fun card game", says Feargus Urquhart.

As far as the tabletop RPG goes they are still not sure, how it will get made. At the moment Obsidian is thinking about different sets of rules and expect to announce something soon. But the team definitely wants to expand the universe - and there are also new books planned.

REVIEW. Written by José Manuel Bringas

"Obsidian's invented a time machine. We're back to the brilliance of the 90s RPG, with pre-rendered environments, isometric viewpoints and intricate stories with tons of text."
