As expected the North American teams dominated this weekend's Call of Duty Championship in Los Angeles. Denial eSports were crowned champions after besting them both in the upper bracket finals and the grand finals (Revenge beating Faze Red to get the rematch) and then in the final by 3-2 preventing a second best of 5 final. The deciding round was Search & Destroy on Riot, Denial winning 6-4. MVP was Denial eSports' James "Clayster" Eubanks who registered a 1.31 k/d ratio over the weekend - best of all players.

Denial took home a $400,000 prize check with the rest of the top 8 diving a further $600,000 amongst themselves.

Perhaps the two most favoured UK participants was European champions Epsilon eSports and TCM Gaming, but neither managed to qualify from the group stage. Instead only UK team to make it to the play-offs was Aware Gaming who won their first play-off match only to lose their two subsequent matches (second one in the lower bracket putting an end to their competition).
