Witcher 3 senior game designer Damien Monnier decided to share new info about the anticipated RPG during a session on Twitter (thanks DualShockers).
Damien mentioned the game will be divided by acts, but players won't be told the act they are on (this is only done internally for the writers). Damien also assured there will be quest lines moving from one act to the other.
Asked about the most difficult technical problem during development, Damien mentioned the amount of unique NPCs on-screen, all doing their own routines. "That's a lot of thinking power," he admitted.
Players will be able to customize Geralt's hair in a similar organic fashion as the beard system (which grows over time). As for armour sets, while players won't be able to mix pieces or change colours, each armour will have several tiers.
Damien also elaborated on aquatic content, mentioning there will be enemies for players to fight above and below water, warning players about storms and rocks (apparently your boat can be destroyed with relative ease).
And how long will all this take players? Well, according to Damien, if a players desires to take on all the content on Witcher 3, it will take them more than 200 hours to beat. Asked about the PlayStation 4 version, and if the focus on the PC and Xbox versions during presentations were due to a contract, Damien replied:
"Sometimes our fans understand us more than we can say. Don't worry about a thing. You have my word."
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 19th.
