The concept of permadeath is something that has been getting a lot of love on the indie scene. Your in-game-characters death causes you to lose that character or run you played forever. Upsilon Circuit takes it one step further with something that can only be described as permanent permadeath. If you lose, you can never play the game again.

The fantasy RPG puts exactly eight players at a time onto a single server and splits them into two teams of four. They then play Upsilon Circuit, while spectators watch via Twitch until the adventures of the eight will end. And they will, while fighting monsters, avoiding traps and also fight with the other team. EXP is gained while fighting, but is given to the audience watching to level up the contestant's skilltree. "So the audience is part dungeon master, part strategist and part judge & jury", so can read on their website.

The idea is that the game will be live a few hours each day, and players stay on until their death when a new player is chosen from the audience. No date is set yet, the game is in early development, but the concept sound interesting. But to some degree it sounds more like a social experiment than a game.
