Gamereactor recently attended a press event in London where we were treated to a one hour demo of the game where the hero of the game, Gabriel, avoids dangers, ducks away from projectiles, and casts magical spells.
Lionhead revealed that the world Gabriel explores is three times the size of previous Fable games. A lot of focus as far as the narrative goes has been put on the background of Theresa, a returning Fable character.
The game is a mix of action and adventure, and less of a role-playing game, but spells and experience points are still part of the experience. The game is said to span at least ten hours from start to finish, and it will make use of Kinect's headtracking to allow players to freely move the camera.
As you may be able to see from the images below, Fable: The Journey is shaping up to be the visually most impressive game in the series and Lionhead are making use of Unreal Engine 3.0 for this project. Fable: The Journey is set for release later this year.
