After last week's news that a Destiny player lost two high-level characters and an exotic weapon after allowing another player control over his game using the PS4's Share Play functionality - who immediately deleted all three - Game Informer has caught up with the culprit.
According to the report, the outlet has discovered that owner of the account in question wasn't the person behind the deletion - but someone else ("a friend of a friend") who used the account while visiting one of the account owner's siblings. While the outlet won't reveal the person's real name, they did talk to them.
They admitted to Game Informer that they'd done the deletions, using the account while the account owner wasn't there, and had also done similar deletions on other games.
"I've done it multiple times. I think three? four? I thought it would be funny."
Asked about the harm they've done not only to the account holder - who has received multiple threats since the incident - but the player who lost their characters, they replied:
"Suck it up and move on with life. What else is there to say?"
Game Informer won't reveal the person's real name and PSN Account.
