Some Destiny players are more captivated by Bungie's universe than others, and as reported by Polygon, one group has spent a fair amount of time and effort in order to conclude that the last human city in the game (The Tower) is most likely is situated in Chile.

The theory, which was formed via a collaboration over on Reddit, uses several facts to come to this conclusion. The facts concern details such as the amount of time the sun and the moon are visible in the sky (the exact same amount), in addition to the direction shadows move (counter-clockwise) and the latitude on an equinox.

You'll find the further details in the investigation over in the aforementioned Reddit thread, but it all boils down to The Tower - which serves as the game's social hub - most likely being situated in Chile, or possibly Argentina.
