Maisie Williams wants to play Ellie in The Last of Us film

It was rumored earlier this year when film director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy) and game director Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us) confirmed that they are working on a film based on The Last of Us, that they wanted Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams (Arya) casted as Ellie.

Now Williams has talked about this herself, and it seems like something she wants to do, or as she puts it herself:

"I'd love to do it. Hell yeah."

But it seems the movie still is in really early stages, and Williams says:

"...they want me to do it, and I want to do it. But there's no script, no director, and no anything else. So at this moment, it's looking like, ‘Yes,' but it's still such early days."

Remains to be seen if Maisie Williams is young enough to convincingly play Ellie by the time the production reaches the point of filming then...
