There are a ton of interesting tidbits to dive into in the UK charts this week as the Black Friday sales have been tallied up. Needless to say this week was a massive one at retail. At the top Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare captured another number one (the Xbox 360 version topped the individual chart), with FIFA 15 in second and Grand Theft Auto V in third. Interesting to note that 67% of CoD sales where on old-gen this week reversing the situation at launch when 68% of sales were on new-gen. Sales of Advanced Warfare rose 110% week-on-week, while GTAV dropped by 64% compared to its launch week and just lost out to FIFA 15 in the battle for second place. It should also be noted that sales of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare this week were greater than any previous title during "Black Friday" week in the UK.

As for new releases they naturally struggled to stay above all the promotions and bundles, but Pokémon had a very good opening week. In fact, it was the best Pokémon launch in history. Sales were 17% better than with last year's X & Y and it beat the combined sales of 2011's Black & White to score a franchise record. As Chart-track still count the twin Pokémon titles as separate SKU's they ranked in 6th and 7th spot in the all formats chart, but combined they would have ranked 3rd.

While the Pokémon titles are counted separately that is not true of Super Smash Bros. (3DS/Wii U) that is counted as one and the game rose from 27th (just 3DS) to 13th with the release of the Wii U version. Behind it Little Big Planet 3 managed to come in at 18. The many discounted and bundled games in the top 20 saw some of last week's top entries fall in the charts with Dragon Age: Inquisition falling from 5 to 16, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham from 8 to 19, WWE 2K15 from 7 to 20, Assassin's Creed: Rogue from 12 to 22 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection from 10 to 27.

So how did the consoles fair? Well, given the massive rise of Driveclub (+999% compared to the week prior) it is fair to assume the PS4 did really well, but Assassin's Creed: Unity (the most promoted Xbox One bundle) also did really well and that game actually ranked higher than Driveclub in the individual charts (though presumably it sold more non-bundled copies). Black Flag also benefitted from its Xbox One bundle to climb back into the top 10.
