After the unspectacular Japanese launch of Xbox One in October, Microsoft has announced (via Famitsu) that Takashi Sensui, General Manager for Xbox in Japan, will resign at the end of this month. Sensui was in this position since February 2006 and will continue to work for Microsoft in the US, in his new role as Interactive Entertainment Business General Manager.

Officially no reason was given for his resignation, but Xbox One sold just 23,562 units during its launch (according to Famitsu). It was the worst launch for a console in years, and less than half of the number of Xbox 360 systems Microsoft sold in Japan during that console's launch. The new General Manager is Takahasi Minami. He's worked for Microsoft since July, after spending more than 25 years at Sony.
