Dean Hall approves "amazing" MiniDayZ

MiniDayZ is a new game that has recently gotten the attention - and approval - of DayZ creator Dean "Rocket" Hall. It's a top-down 2D reimagining of the zombie apocalypse simulation (that originally spawned as a mod for Arma 2 before Bohemia Interactive decided to start developing it as a standalone title).

Graphics and perspective aside, there's a few differences between MiniDayZ and the game that inspired it. Most notably it's single-player only.

"I have to say, I absolutely love MiniDayZ," Hall wrote on Reddit. "I think it's awesome, amazing, addictive, and brings something really new to the experience. Ignore the haters. The vast majority of people think it's fantastic and I am one of those people."
