After the brilliant new four player mission played by "celebrities", Ubisoft released a new trailer... a very peculiar one. The new trailer, dubbed "Time Anomalies", shows a Animus error, where the French Revolution simulation is exchanged by what appears to be a somewhat Steam-punk version of World War II. The setting is still Paris, and the playable character is still Arno, but the time period is completely different, including Zeppelins, airplanes and machine guns.

A few months ago, Ubisoft announced Rift Mode, a mysterious new mode that will allow players to play as different assassins in several time periods. Perhaps this is connected to that game mode? We should learn more very soon. In the meanwhile, check the trailer below.

"You'll scream, swear and pound your head against the coffee table, and then you'll reload the game, because when it works, it really works."
