Media Create Sales -report has been posted on the NeoGAF forum, and it shows how Nintendo's handheld device dominates the Japanese market. Different 3DS models sold over 113,000 copies, and almost 90 000 of these were the New Nintendo 3DS models. Although the sales dropped dramatically from last week, 3DS is still way ahead of competition in terms of sales. In fact the closest rival (Wii U) sold only a tenth of the 3DS total this week.
On the games front, the new Monster Hunter was a dominant number one. Selling over 320 000 copies, it soared ahead of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, which came in second with just over 53,000 sold units.
