Sunset Overdrive font used for PSN promotion

We're not sure if it's an embarrassing blunder or the ultimate compliment, but Sony seem to have looked to rival Microsoft for inspiration when making marketing material for a new PSN sale. More specifically, the font used to promote the sale looks an awful lot like the font used for the logo of the upcoming action game Sunset Overdrive, an Xbox One exclusive.

Sunset creators Insomniac Games were naturally quick to point out their competition's error: "Hey @Playstation. Nice font. Glad you guys are excited for @SunsetOverdrive too", Insomniac said on the game's official Twitter profile.

Later they followed up with some more info on the font and it's availability: "The font is called "Overdrive Sunset" was made based off our original logo, and is public/free w/ our blessing."

Since it's a free front, Sony hasen't done anything wrong or illegal, but whoever was in charge of putting the promotion material together is likely getting some stick nonetheless.
