It seems multiplayer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be a smooth and lag-free experience, at least according to Michael Condrey from Sledhammer Games.

It was in an interview with Stevivor that he was asked whether or not Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare would get dedicated servers, to which he replied: "We've got some announcements coming. Yes, we will be supporting dedicated servers and there will be announcements soon on which providers and platforms. I can't answer just yet, but you can let your community know that it's coming."

This is the second game in the series to support dedicated servers, with last year's Call of Duty: Ghosts being the first to do so. It was obviously worth it, hence the fact they are now doing so again.
