Lindsay Lohan and her lawyers still have Rockstar and Take-Two in their collective sights, as they continue to pursue their case against the Grand Theft Auto V creators.

Lohan's original complaint was regarding the character Lacey Jonas, which has previously been described in this ongoing legal challenge as an "unequivocal" reference to the actor (and if it is, it's not a particularly flattering one, it has to be said).

This original claim has, however, been amended, and now Lohan's legal team are pursuing an expanded suit that states marketing materials (including the below images that were used extensively in the promotion of the game) are also based on Lohan's appearance, although not directly; the claim states that they "used a look-a-like model to evoke the persona and image" of a photograph taken of Lohan back in 2007.

Previously Take-Two had sought to have the case dismissed and have Lohan sanctioned, based on their view that the "claim is so legally meritless that it lacks any good-faith basis and can only have been filed for publicity purposes."

The response to Take-Two's statement was an amended lawsuit from Lohan's legal team, as published by The Hollywood Reporter, that includes the aforementioned claims regarding merchandise and publicity for the game.

Take-Two of course denies claims that the actor's image was the basis for materials used in the publicity leading up to the incredibly successful launch of Grand Theft Auto V, and maintains that Lohan was not the basis of the character Lacey Jonas, suggesting that the only similarity between them is that they are both young, blonde women.

There's still a long way to go before this is settled either way. We await further developments with interest, and will update you as and when we get more news.
