Legendary Mortal Kombat producer and co-creator Ed Boon just took to Twitter to reveal a new character for Mortal Kombat X. The new fighter is Quan Chi who first debuted in the animated Mortal Kombat series from 1996, with Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero from 1997 as his first video game. Quan Chi hasn't been used a lot and since then, Mortal Kombat X is only the fifth game where he is actually playable.

I loved the visual design of quan-chi from the 2009 title. But I must say I don't like the new face or the new costume. In fact I hate it!
And I have to say since quan chi is a personal favorite of mine since MK4, the bat that he summons is quite pittyful and does't suite his very severe style that he always had at all. I really wish netherealm studios is going back to the drawing board for tha one!! Quan Chi was always a real badass, summoning a little cute bat is really not gonna fly with me at all... Pun intended!
And Kano also has facial expression which leeds me to believe he wants to be my friend rather than rippin' my head off. Not much of MK style there, either... The facial expressions are not something that draws me in when it comes to buying a new MK title, I must say...

I would love to know, what all you guys think! Any MK fans out there? please comment...
