It was just a few hours ago that we reported that Xbox One has officially launched in China, and it's the first console to be released there in 14 years. Good news for Microsoft, early reports pointed at it being a fairly big success, something A9VG (via Neogaf) has now confirmed. More than 100,000 consoles were sold, which makes it a way bigger success than in Japan.
It's hard to judge how popular the console business will be since China really doesn't have one, but Microsoft's strategy seems to have paid off, at least in the short-term.
