This week Microsoft announced that they had bought Mojang and, by extension, Minecraft, and all for the princely sum of $2.5 billion. Since then the company has confirmed that the game will remain availabe for other plattforms as well, dispelling the uncertainty regarding the PlayStation and iOS versions of the game.
This stance has since been strengthened further by the confirmation from Sony that the game is coming to PlayStation 4 via a disc-based version, which is set to launch in European stores on October 3. This new version will follow on from the digital release of the brick building MMO, which first became available on the platform two weeks ago.
