No surprise that Destiny lands at number one in the charts this week in the UK and it also took the crown of "biggest launch of the year" and "all-time biggest new IP launch" from Ubisoft's Watch Dogs.
Interestingly it was a 50/50 split between Microsoft and Sony as far as the sales of the game went PS4 (46%), Xbox One (36%), Xbox 360 (14%) and PS3 (4%), even with Sony bundling the game with PS4 and pushing it as an exclusive marketing wise. Surely, Bungie's longtime relationship with Xbox players played a part in that.
Elsewhere in the chart newcomers NHL 15 lands at number 7 and Bandai Namco's ‘Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution comes in at 10. Standalone expansion Infamous: First Light scores a respectable 17th place in the all formats chart as it launches as a physical product.
