Earlier today we reported on Wall Street Journal breaking story about a potential Microsoft buyout of Mojang (makers of Minecraft). Now Bllomberg pile on more evidence as they cite three sources close to the situation as saying a deal may be imminent. According to Bloomberg the deal came about as Markus "Notch" Persson approach, Microsoft, a partner in bringing Minecraft to Xbox 360 and Xbox One, about a possible buyout. According to Bloomberg's sources Persson would then remain to facilitate the takeover while likely walking away after that.

We expect this story to develop further, and with noone publicly denying a potential deal, it is likely safe to assume some sort of talks are ongoing.

Markus "Notch" Persson was quoted on Twitter in Dec 2012 as saying: "Anyway, my price is two billion dollars. Give me two billion dollars, and I'll endorse your crap."
