We caught up with Bungie community manager David Dague in Cologne to learn more about the final approach to Destiny's launch next month.
The lengthy interview covered the roll out of multiplayer maps and modes as well the inclusion of difficulty levels and lesson learnt from the beta.
"We're humbled and inspired. We're educated as to how this living, social world that we've created for Destiny behaves under the load of a large population," said Dague.
He also noted that the team was encouraged looking at metrics that showed that the longer players engaged in the beta, the more they engaged in diverse activities.
Destiny will ship with one raid and the fact that it's friends only caused a bit of a stir. Dague explained the reason for this:
"The raid is the most challenging thing we've ever created. It is not going to be for everyone, we freely admit that. You will need team mates that are willing to communicate with you. You will need to solve problems together."
Dague also explained there will be checkpoints in the raid, but that players will have a limited time to complete the challenge.
