Are these the 4 new Mario Kart 8 DLC Cups?

While the "Lord, won't you buy me, a Mercedes-Benz downloadable content for £0" sounds nice enough for some Mario Kart 8 fans, with the announcement of that imminent release many were wondering whether Nintendo was finally considering proper DLC (even paid content) for the brilliant racer, as one of the few gripes is we want more content to play with. More so than vehicles and characters, they're asking for new circuits and cups.

It's not very clear where the following picture comes from:

Apparently, it's a screenshot from "unused Grand Prix images found through data mining" (i.e., icons found while digging into the game's code), but one could argue it's a pretty clear montage, going by suspicious token design or even weird item choice (we'd love a Spiny Cup, but others look as fishy as Cheep-cheep).

So, what do you think? Would you pay, say, £5 for a completely new cup with four new circuits, even with this ugly icon? Which characters would you add to drivers roster? Something tell us that this isn't the real deal, but also that Nintendo is definitely considering proper DLC for one of the best Wii U games so far.
