Today it was confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and prequel Ground Zeroes, will be heading to PC. Hideo Kojima announced the news during Konami's livestream this evening, much to the joy of PC gamers the world over. Given the chronology of the two games, it'll hardly be a shock to your respective systems to hear that Ground Zeroes will be first of the two to make an appearance. As far as we know, there's no talk of dates as yet.

Of course Metal Gear Solid made an appearance earlier in the week. Hideo Kojima was among the developers that appeared on Sony's stage at Gamescom (for the first time in five years). During the demonstration we go to see how the cardboard box gameplay has changed for the latest iteration, and we got to see some of the possibilities this entertaining mechanic now allows. If you like that sort of thing, of course. Some people think it's all rather silly.
