Media Molecule's Tearaway confirmed for PS4

During Sony's press conference Media Molecule's next game was announced, and it's a big screen adaptation of the PS Vita title, Tearaway.

They revealed in the presser that they tried a straight port, but that it didn't work. After accepting that it wasn't a good fit, they had an internal gamejam, which revealed different possible uses for the DualShock 4 controller and new directions for the game (they showed us using the lightbar on the controller and shining a torch in the game, wind effects, throwing and catching items from the screen into the controller).

It'll be interesting to see what innovations the studio can bring to the PS4 adaptation of their paper craft game, and given that the original Tearaway didn't reach anywhere near enough gamers, it's nice that IP is being given a second chance.
