This morning God of War: Ascension was officially announced via the PlayStation Blog.
The reveal came not long after Amazon jumped the gun and posted box art and a trailer ahead of the official announcement. Though, it was hardly the best kept of secrets, with Sony teasing us (via Facebook) last week.
Todd Papy will follow in the footsteps of David Jaffe et al. and take his place as the game's director and is set to deliver a web chat on April 30 to discuss the title further. Questions submitted on Twitter over the week will be presented to Papy, and those who's questions are picked will receive a signed God of War poster (for details see here).
