Bungie has offered up some data with regards to the recent beta for Destiny, and it makes for interesting reading. For a start, there was more than 4.6 million players who signed up for beta all told, and between them they created 6.5 million Guardians. On Saturday night, when Bungie were trying to stress-test the servers, 850k players were online concurrently (a record for a Bungie game). There's also a few stats with regards the PvP part of the game (the Crucible), and you can check out all the numbers in the infographic below.
"Our favorite achievement is the concurrency statistic," said community manager Deej in a post on Bungie.net. "At its peak, the Destiny Beta became the most simultaneously played Bungie game of all time. There were more people online at the same time to play Destiny than any other game in our history. The Beta was more played than even final versions of previous Bungie games. You joined forces to populate the last safe city on Earth, and blew our minds."
