According to The Verge Microsoft are getting ready to announce the release date of Halo 4 later today and that date is going to be November 6. Obviously the release date is something we were expecting to find out as Halo 4 is making an appearance on Conan tonight, and November has been rumoured for a while. The big surprise here is that Microsoft will go head to head with Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty, instead of opting for the traditional Halo release month of September.
"343's proved worthy stewards of the franchise, and its the biggest commendation we can give is that we're eager to see them developing their own spin on the Halo universe."
