God of War III in 2010?

There is something about the GoW franchise that just quenches my thirst for blood when I rip some guy in half. I would guess that I'm not alone when I say that I was a little disappointed with the lackluster 30 second pre-rendered trailer, which was shown at Sony's Press Conference at E3 this year.

EGM have in their newest issue posted a rumor about the supposed release for the game.. 2010. Yes, you heard it right ladies and gentlemen, 2010. If this rumor ends up being true, it's just sad.. albeit not shocking considering the E3 trailer. But still shocking enough as this is what one would call "A killer app", the previous games in the series have helped define PlayStation 2, even though they where released late in the consoles life cycle. So, here is hoping this rumor ends up being untrue, and that we'll be playing the game next year.
