Epic Mickey 2 3DS screens

Disney's released a batch of screens as it officially confirms the release of Power of Illusion - the 3DS Epic Mickey 2 title.

A separate entity from the home console version, its a semi-sequel to the Mega Drive "Illusion" titles, more specifically Castle of Illusion as Mickey revisits the castle, with the game being developed by DS developer DreamRift in conjunction with Junction Point and is due this fall.

The game continues the painting mechanic of the home consoles that'll let you paint objects on the touch screen that'll appear in the in-game world in 3D on the top screen.

"The original ‘Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse' changed the face of video gaming by allowing players to play as Mickey Mouse in a side-scrolling adventure full of dynamic environments," Warren Spector said as part of the press release. "We're honoured to be able to pay tribute to this classic video game by creating a title that truly takes advantage of the unique capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS."
