"Kameo 2 canned"

Microsoft's British developer Rare has recently been restructured and apparently this also brought about the cancellation of a long rumoured sequel to the Xbox 360 launch title Kameo: Elements of Power. British website CVG also makes mention of one more "tradtional franchise" sequel that has been cancelled. The first games that come to mind that could fit into that category are Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie. A new Perfect Dark has long been rumoured and with the release of the original Perfect Dark on Xbox Live Arcade many believed an announcement of Perfect Dark 2 was imminent.

This is what CVG reports about the situation:

"A source close to the platform holder has since told CVG that the "restructure" saw the canning of more than one 'traditional' franchise sequel, including Kameo 2.

Our source clarified that disappointing sales of the 360 launch game - and not just the march towards Natal - also played a factor in its cancellation."
