Lindsay Lohan doesn't seem overly fond of Rockstar at the moment, because you don't usually get legal if you want to keep on good terms, right? That's exactly what the actor has done, she's suing Rockstar, accusing the studio of basing a character on her likeness without her permission.

The focus of Lohan's complaint comes down to character Lacey Jonas, the stereotypical Hollywood actress that appears in a side mission, fleeing a gang of paparazzi with the help of one of GTAV's three protagonists, Franklin.

Lohan claims that Rockstar used her likeness, her clothing line, the West Hollywood Chateau Marmont hotel where she stayed, to create an "unequivocal" reference to the actor.

"The portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff's clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years" the suit claims.

It's a tricky one, because it certainly looks like Rockstar is offering a parody of the actor, at the same time, it's strange that Lohan identifies with a character that behaves in such a manner. You'd think it'd be more preferable to put distance between yourself and such a depiction, rather than associating yourself with it entirely.

It's not the first time that Rockstar has faced legal action over Grand Theft Auto V, after a former Mob Wives star filed against the studio for similar reasons (though as far as we can tell, that claim wasn't successful, after Rockstar replied with alleged proof of their innocence).

Either way Rockstar has yet to offer comment on this current legal wrangling, and we won't know more until this case has been settled in the courts. We'll keep you posted.
