As you can see from the screens attached below, Rockstar are celebrating Independence Day in style in Grand Theft Auto V.

The latest update will include fireworks and allow players to venture down to Pleasure Pier and ride the Ferris Whale and the Leviathan Roller Coaster. You can also add to that some new garb to dress you characters up in (and a new mullet hairstyle).

The content will available to redeem until mid-July (a specific redemption expiration date will be announced later), and anything you purchase in-game will remain with your character, except for the fireworks and launcher.

The update will also see tweaks and fixes, plus the addition of the new "On Call Matchmaking" function: "This new option allows players to accept a Job invite and continue playing in Freemode until that Job fills up, reducing time spent idle while waiting for a Job to start."

More details on that lot here. Plus more regarding the four-day event accompanying this content will be released on Rockstar's Newswire later today.
