Player swims for 4 hours to reach secret island in DayZ

Eager player takes a swim to "Schadenfreude Island."

Eleven (real) kilometers outside the Chernarus-map in zombie/survival game DayZ is "Debug Island". Also known as "Schadenfreude Island," this deserted and barren little piece of land has gone unexplored in the standalone version of DayZ, until last Friday.

Player with the username 'Gews' loaded his character with clean water and food and headed out on a four hour-long swim out to the island which unfortunately contained nothing (at all). The developers should perhaps have thought about adding a secret weapon or something.

This story makes us think about the griefers who, in the mod version of DayZ, picked up a player in their helicopter (who was being chased by a large horde of zombies) and then dropped them off on the same island, leaving them there marooned.
