Sony's Jim Ryan has confirmed to Gamereactor that while Sumo Digital are heading up development of Little Big Planet 3, series creators Media Molecule have retained some involvement in the sequel that was announced during Sony's conference at this year's E3.
"Sumo Digital, very talented developers," Ryan said, "we're really happy to be working with them. There is involvement from Media Molecule. You know, Little Big Planet is something that is very close to hearts of those guys, they're not going to let completely go of it, but it is Sumo who is developing it and that partnership is working real well."
While Ryan wouldn't say what the LBP creators are working on now, he did say that "all of our major studios, and Media Molecule is most definitely a major studio, are working on stuff for PS4."
LBP3 is heading to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 later this year.
